ROCKBOARD SCOOTER HS-570,HS-580 owner's manual

Powered wheelchairs and motorized scooters may be susceptible to electromagnetic interference (EMI), which is interfering electromagnetic energy (EM) emitted from sources such a radio stations, TV stations, amateur radio (HAM) transmitters, two-way radios, and cellular phones. The interference (from radio wave sources) can cause the motorized scooter to release its brakes, move by itself, or move in unintended directions. It can also permanently damage the motorized scooter control system.

The intensity of the interfering EM energy can be measured in volts per meter (V/m). Each motorized scooter can resist EMI up to certain intensity. This is called its "immunity level." The higher the immunity level, the greater the protection. At this time, current technology is capable of achieving at least a 20 V/m immunity level, which would provide useful protection from the more common sources of radiated EMI. This immunity level of this motorized scooter model is not known.

Guide Dimensioning Thermal Circuit Breakers for Equipment

Guide Dimensioning Thermal Circuit Breakers for Equipment
Thermal circuit breakers for equipment (CBE) protect motors and transformers against electrical overloading. The trip release of a breaker takes place with the deflection of a bi- metal.

This deflection is in turn dependent on heat caused by the level of current flowing through the bimetal. The typical time-current characteristic of a thermal circuit breaker is a result of the thermal delay of the bimetal. get here Dimensioning Thermal Circuit Breakers for Equipment

Remote Control Circuit Breakers

Remote Control Circuit Breakers
Traditional aerospace component suppliers are being asked to assume even greater levels of responsibility. One trend is that component manufacturers are being asked to increase their subsystem integration capability to better serve the consolidating global Tier 1 Systems Integrators and Airframe Manufacturers.

Component suppliers will be expected to bring more value to fewer, more demanding custom- ers. Redefining Eaton Aerospace's Electric Distribution and Controls value proposition is essential to meeting those expectations.

Circuit Breakers Applying Interrupting Rating

Circuit Breakers Applying Interrupting Rating
A fully rated system is one in which all of the overcurrent protective devices have an individual interrupting rating equal to or greater than the available short-circuit current at their line terminals per 110.9. Fully rated systems can consist of all fuses, all circuit breakers, or a combination of fuses and circuit breakers. The interrupting rating of a branch circuit fuse is required by 240.60 to be marked on the fuse (unless its interrupting rating is 10,000A). The interrupting rating of a branch circuit circuit breaker is required by 240.83 to be marked on the circuit breaker (unless its interrupting rating is 5000A).

In this section, “individual” or “stand-alone” interrupting rating is used to denote the interrupting rating of a circuit breaker or fuse. It is the “individual” or “stand- alone” interrupting rating that is marked on a fuse or circuit breaker. See Figure 1. A major advantage with modern current-limiting fuses is that they have interrupting ratings of 200,000A or 300,000A. download here
